I received it on Saturday, July 4th, let it sit in my living room for about 18 hours. I woke up and put it together. Had a glitch in my outlet electrical outlet, but that wasn't the ac's fault. Switched outlets, and within 5 minutes my kitchen area was cold at 69 degrees. Its working steady now. I bought it to take the load off my condenser unit outdoors, its 18 years old and going to die soon. I will switch to these portable units when that happens. A whole new central air conditioner will cost me $6,000 - $10,000 but this unit cost pennies compared to that. I am very happy with it, it arrived in great shape and fast delivery.
Yes! Finally, the answer to my electric bill nightmare...I live in a home that is beautiful and charming and Im happy to be here. That said, it is roasting up in my bedroom. So I would have to cool the house to like 64 downstairs to just get it to 72 upstairs... as you can imagine that wasnt very cost effective. Enter this saving grace.... now my room is 68 degrees, my electric bill is $50 less and im basking in my genius. Thanks GARVEE!
Brand new, so I dont know about reliability. Easy installation. Requires place to vent and continuous drain, if you dont want to empty.
Easy to set up and works well with my casement windows. I have a 15x17 addition with a vaulted ceiling and no central a/c. Cools the room well and the remote is a bonus!
