We’re out on the lake almost every weekend, and this winch has held up great. No slipping, no weird noises, and the handle still feels tight and solid.
I really like the dual-direction ratchet. I can pull the boat up, lock it, then ease it back a little if I overshoot. The safety pawl clicks in solid, so I’m never worried about it slipping.
The hook on the end of the strap is beefy and latches securely to the bow eye. No bending or twisting, even with a full pull on my glass boat.
