Originally, I got this thinking it would mostly be used for jewelry. A few weeks later, it's been used on eyeglasses, watch bands, small tools, and a handful of random parts that were difficult to clean by hand.The tank size turned out to be one of the biggest advantages. It feels large enough to fit items comfortably without having to carefully position everything or run multiple cleaning cycles. The stainless steel interior feels solid, and the lid sits securely while it's running. I also didn't notice any water leaking around the unit during use, even when the tank was fairly full.The first thing I cleaned was a pair of glasses that had accumulated grime around the nose pads and hinges. Those little crevices are usually annoying to clean properly, but after a cycle, most of the buildup was gone without any scrubbing.The controls are simple enough that I never needed to reach for the manual, although a read-through is useful for better understanding which mode works best for what you're cleaning. Pick a mode, set the timer, and let it run.One thing to note is that the included wire basket works well for larger items, but for smaller pieces of jewelry, you may need to add a screen to prevent them from falling out.No cleaning solution is included, but I've had good results using warm water and a small amount of soap. Noise-wise, it's definitely audible, but it didn't bother me too much.What surprised me most is how often I've found reasons to use it. Once it's sitting on the workbench, you start noticing all the small items around the house that could use a deeper cleaning. Rather than sending things to get professionally cleaned, now i can just do it from home, which is definitely a more affordable solution long term.

This is a fairly impressive cleaner at a fair price point (currently ~$55 for the 3L model). While this is the smallest model listed here it still has ample room for things, though small it's not a "mini" one. And full featured too: it still has heating if you need it, as well as multiple options for cleaning.The gentler mode is both quieter and is indeed less aggressive. I had an old pair of glasses I figured I'd test this out on. They survived the gentle mode while the regular mode "cleaned" some of the paint right off the stems 😅 The eyepads did come out clean though too.
