This item arrived carefully enclosed in a large box that has plenty of packing material to ensure that it arrives in excellent condition. This product includes the air conditioner itself, the tube, connectors, and window panel required to install it, a hose for the dehumidifier, a remote, and a user manual. Since you should try to avoid tipping it over immediately before use, tearing apart the box is helpful, which then means you only have to lift the unit a few inches upward to remove it from the surrounding material. It also has wheels, so if you are concerned that this might be too heavy for a smaller person to install themselves, fear not, there is very little strength required to get it fully in place and running.Once you have selected the window you will use, you attach the hose to the back of the AC unit and to the window panel, secure the panel in place, plug in the device, turn it on, and select your preferred cooling setting. Although this unit is marketed as being an air conditioner, dehumidifier, and fan, I have so far only used it as an air conditioner and have not yet tested the dehumidifier feature.In terms of performance, this AC works as I would expect, although be aware that a portable AC like this does not cool a room in the same way as a window unit of the same rating, mostly because of inherent limitations in the design. That being said though, if your house is hot and you don’t have a window unit available or the ability to add one, this device is a lifesaver. I added it to my bedroom when my central AC was waiting to be repaired, and it is an enormous relief to open the door to your room and be blasted by cold air when most of the rest of your house is a giant sauna. This size unit is most appropriate for a small room like this and, while I don’t know how energy efficient it is, I am optimistic that this shouldn’t add a huge charge to my next electric bill.Overall, I think this is a great unit that is perfect for a bedroom, home office, or other small area, where the door can be kept closed. I have very much appreciated having it in my home this summer, and I am thankful for the comfort it has added to an otherwise unpleasantly hot summer.

Installed in my bedroom. I like it cooler than I keep the rest of the house. Turn it on about 8:30 in the evening and it brings the room down about 5 degrees before I go to bed which is fine. The bedroom is about 195 sq. ft. The sleep mode is much quieter than the normal mode and I can sleep fine. Was very easy to set up for an old lady.
