Works perfectly on 1-4 inch pipeline clogs as advertised, GFCI switch protects against electric hazards; only downside is the steel cable needs careful coiling after each cleaning job.
This Auto-Feed Drain Cleaner works really well, the auto feed function works great both when feeding the cable into the plumbing and when retrieving it into the drum, the motor is strong enough to handle cleaning roots and other blockages. Paid by itself the 1st time I used it, on a Sunday late afternoon, the roots from the tree out front had created a huge blockade, close to the street, used about 95' of the 100' to get it all cleared.
This is a great cleaner, it took me about 15 minutes to run it through my main to clear out the tree roots. I'm happy with the purchase and I would recommend it to others..
Using this is a 2 person job! I had to stand on the feet and press the feeder while my husband pulled the cable out with both hands and a lot of strength. Ultimately we had to unroll the entire thing and reverse it back into the drum before we could use it. I’m not sure if it just wasn’t coiled correctly when manufactured or if that is a flaw. It does seem to be well made. It was packaged extremely well! It did clear the drain and this was cheaper than hiring a plumber or renting equipment. Overall a good purchase, just know that it wasn’t as easy to use as we had hoped.
