Before I begin my review, let me say I reviewed many desks before I decided on this one. Nothing matched this beautiful warm walnut color.This is my fourth piece of furniture I buy from Garvee but my first time putting together a desk.As I say in some of my reviews, if you are NOT used to building furniture or manual labor then this isn’t for you unless you have someone assemble it for you.instructions indicate this to be a two person job. I did the majority of the work on my own but you will need help in the middle and at the end. Reason why is you’ll need the second person to support the engineered wood because it’s very fragile and can crack easily. I recommend reviewing the instructions before you begin even if you’re instructed by pictures. I missed one small step I believe should have been indicated on the page you were to install the part.When it came time to building the cabinets, there are no instructions on how to secured them to the sliding brackets. I thought I had skipped a page but I didn’t . At no point do the instructions tell you how to secure the drawers to the sliding brackets. I went over the instructions again along with checking off each of the screws I used for each part. There was one small package of screws I hadn’t used. I thought maybe these are the ones to secure the drawers. It turned out to be correct.I was disappointed the instructions didn’t indicate something so crucial on their instructions but I attribute that issue with the manufacturer.Aside from the challenges I came across I love my desk and get a lot of compliments on it.
Great desk for the price. Is slightly smaller then i envisioned, but is sturdy and drawers slide nicely. Looks great.
