If I need the full hitch for towing, the carrier slides out quickly. Pull the pin, loosen the stabilizer, and it’s off in a couple minutes.
I prefer loading heavy stuff closer to the ground instead of on the roof. This hitch carrier keeps the weight low and doesn’t make the SUV feel tippy in crosswinds.
No climbing or lifting things over your head. The 60"x24" platform is right at a comfortable height, especially for heavier bins and coolers.
I really like this hitch carrier. The 60" x 24" platform gives a lot of usable cargo space without feeling awkwardly oversized, and it has been extremely useful for bulky items that I would rather keep out of the cabin.
