I needed a 10,000 BTU not a 8000 it doesn't cool the entire room so you need it to be closer to your bed other than that it performs very well definitely easy to install. When the compressor turns on it's noisy you have to put something a little bit heavy in front of it so it can quiet down.

2nd year and still loving it!

I bought this on a sale last year. The vents do great at catching debris and are easy to clean. The piece for the window was easy to assemble. I do need help popping in the hose to the window slat as my arthritis is making some things more difficult. Takes a little to unscrew the hose from the back but makes it easy to store away. I love it and my bf comes over and says it's too cold lol. He apparently doesn't get hot flashes. Very grateful I bought it. Worth the money!

Portable AC great buy

The AC/heat went out so needed something to get me through two months. This little unit is quiet cost efficient and portable. It came boxed well. Note: if you live in a humid area you will want a 5gal bucket and something sturdy to elevate the unit. Living in Kansas I should have known better but I used a 1gal bucket and had a flood, really works hard to remove the humidity. Unit is rated for 450 sqft I have it in a 800 sqft duplex. Fans can extend the cooling area, I use one fan per room doors open.
