So this GARVEE dog house should work perfect for my upcoming project. I've been looking for ideas on how to build a floating duck house for my pond. Every Spring we have a few ducks come to our 1/2 acre pond and every year I hope we get some ducklings. Our neighbors have found their nesting sites around their yards, but since they nest on the ground, I'm afraid the predators get the eggs before they even hatch. So, I have been trying to think of way to build a floating duck house on the water when I ran across this plastic dog house. It should work perfect! I just need to find the perfect float to mount this on and then decorate the outside of this dog house in fake vegetation.The dog house is super easy to put together. All the pieces snap and lock in place. There are even air vents on the sides and on the roof to catch a breeze, and still be out of the sun. It literally only took me minutes to assemble. Once assembled, I will probably use some stainless steel screws to make sure all the piece are secured. Once I have it water ready, I would also like to find a solar power security camera to put in the duck house. That way, I would be able to watch any ducks nesting!Overall, I'm very please with this dog house and my upcoming project.
