I’m very much a beginner at this, so I’ve mostly been using it with my kids in creeks and around the yard for fun and cleanup.It works really well for what I need. I’ve found coins, screws, and other small metal stuff, and it picks them up accurately. The pinpoint mode helps narrow down exactly where to dig instead of just getting you close. Overall the functionality is better than I expected for the price.Portability is great. It’s lightweight and breaks down easily, which makes a big difference when you’re carrying it out to a creek or packing it in the car. It doesn’t feel cheap, just light and practical.Depth is decent for beginner use. It finds things that aren’t too deep, which is perfect for casual detecting and letting the kids have fun.It’s a solid choice for beginners. Easy to put together, straightforward to use, and comes with everything you need to get started (batteries, shovel, headphones, bag). Took this out to the local park for a couple hours and it performed better than expected for the price. The search modes and pinpoint function make it easy to zero in on finds, the LCD screen is clear enough in bright sun, and sensitivity adjustment cuts out junk without missing coins or small jewelry. Lightweight enough for longer hunts, adjustable shaft fits me fine. Battery life is decent too, and I appreciate that they did include the two 9V batteries it takes. For casual hobby use it's a good value that actually works. Already had a few interesting finds.
